| How should I prepare for a BodyTalk session? |
- Drink a healthy amount of water before and after treatment.
- Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothes.
- Remove electronics, jewelry, belt and pocket items before the session.
- Unhook or remove your bra before the session.
- Plan some downtime after your session, when possible. Some people feel energized after a BodyTalk session and others feel like their bodies are processing a lot, so they prefer to rest. The most common reaction is a combination of sensations which passes within 24 hours.

| Is BodyTalk safe? |
Yes. The Body Talk system has been practiced in many parts of the world for several years. There are hundreds of Body Talk practitioners throughout the world who use the system on a regular basis. In all of these cases, the BodyTalk system has proved to be a totally safe and effective form of treatment. The reason for this is that Body Talk therapy only involves rebalancing energy systems throughout the bodythere is nothing invasive or dangerous about it whatsoever.
Practitioners do advise that BodyTalk is not a substitute for conventional medical care, and there may be times when consultation with a physician is required. |

| Why does BodyTalk work so well? |
With BodyTalk, the practitioner does not need to diagnose the problem with the client. The innate intelligence of the human body informs the practitioner which energy systems need to be rebalanced and in which particular order. In this vein, the treatment is in no way influenced by what the practitioner thinks is wrong with the client.
When you consider that there are over a billion synchronized activities that occur in the human body every second, it's not hard to see that the conscious mind of a practitioner may have some difficulty in determining exactly what is going on inside someone's body.
This is where the Body Talk system excels. The practitioner is relieved of this burden and the source of the problem is actually the provider of the information that is needed for the client to heal. This is a key aspect of the BodyTalk system and is probably the main reason why the system works so well. |
| Can someone be over-treated with BodyTalk? |
No. The BodyTalk practitioner takes specific instructions from the innate intelligence of the body, which knows exactly what needs to be treated and in what order. Therefore it is not possible for someone to be over-treated with BodyTalk.
Even if a client were to receive treatment that was not indicated as a priority by the innate intelligence of the client's body, the treatment would have no effect on the clientpositive or negative. |
| Are there any side effects to BodyTalk? |
BodyTalk involves tapping into the innate intelligence of the client before treatment. Consequently, the BodyTalk practitioner is always aware of what the client's body can safely deal with at any particular time.
Therefore, not surprisingly, the clinical findings of BodyTalk therapy have shown that the system is totally safe. By virtue of the BodyTalk treatment protocol, the human body will not allow the practitioner to treat them for a condition unless it is perfectly safe to do so.
There are, however, some healing symptoms may that occur in certain cases. For instance, if a client's body is ridding itself of a virus, flu type symptoms may occur until this process is complete. Symptoms could also appear for a short time after treating parasites, toxins, and emotional releases. These are always short-lasting, and as stated above, the innate intelligence of the body is always questioned by the practitioner beforehand to ensure that the body is capable of dealing with healing the particular condition.
Finally, insulin levels may need to be monitored after a blood sugar balancing treatment if the client is a diabetic. BodyTalk practitioners know to never treat blood sugar on a diabetic unless the client is capable of monitoring and adjusting their own insulin levels. |

| How was BodyTalk originally conceived? |
BodyTalk was originally conceived in Australia by Dr. John Veltheim. Dr. Veltheim has worked in and studied in a broad range of health care modalities for over 20 years, including traditional acupuncture, chiropractic, kinesiology, Reiki and bioenergetics.
In the mid-nineties, he began to put together a treatment protocol to address diseases such as dyslexia, chronic viruses and infections, poor immune system functioning, certain types of allergies, poor blood sugar balancing, arthritis and musculoskeletal disorders, organ dysfunction and general energy system imbalances.
This system was called BodyTalk and was based on the wisdom of advanced yoga, the energy dynamics of acupuncture, the clinical findings of applied kinesiology, and western medical expertise. Since that time the BodyTalk protocol has been taught to many people in over twenty countries around the world.
It has been expanding since these early days and the rate of new discovery within the Body Talk paradigm is now increasing exponentially. The fundamentals of the Body Talk system are so sound that in the future its principles may well be integrated into mainstream health care. |

| Does BodyTalk or energy work conflict with other medical treatments or medication? |

| I don't see energy, so how can I tell if energy work is for real? |
Physics tells us that the smallest known unit of mattersmaller than the atom, the electron, the quarkis simply energy (information). Energy vibrating at slower frequencies is tangible; examples of this include bone and muscle. Energy vibrating at higher frequencies is intangible; examples include thoughts and emotions. Although you cannot see your ideas and feelings, you perceive that they exist.
In the same way that you can modify your thought patterns, you can work with other energy frequencies of the bodymind complex to effect change within its dynamic systems. While you may not literally see energy shifting in sessions, you will observe changes in your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. |
